After June in Colorado and then a flatwater project in Quebec for the first few weeks of July it feels like my summer is flying by. This week I had a chance to catch up with a few old favourites: number one, some of my paddling buddies and number two, one of my favourite waves, the Garb.

Hoping to maximize on a short line Tanya Shuman, Tanya Faux, Emily Jackson and myself got up for an early morning ladies session. Lines are hit and miss and even at 7am there is always the possibility of meeting ten others already surfing.

As my eyes dropped over the horizon line I was most happy to see only our small group floating around in the eddy. We took our opportunity and paddled our brains out!

Shuman walked away with the biggest air of the day as well as the biggest working. TFaux took the clean blunt of the day and Em the Donkey lady of the day. I think I walked away with the biggest smile for the day!
